When I stick two memory chips in the MOB, the system gets hung up again wanting a floppy drive. When it is running on just one stick of memory, it boots up to XP with out any problem at all.
If the MOB erases the bios when you have two sticks of Memory, but works great with just one stick in there, would it be bad Memory stick or bad MOB?
well, just to update, it isn't the mother board per say.
I attatched a Floppy drive and wham everything else went smooth as a baby's bottom.
So far so good, doing all the driver updates today...

Yeah, just bought all the parts this weekend. So it is still under the return policy.

I don't have a floppy drive
Tried that. Even left the battery out for 30 mins
On the first boot, I continually get this message:
"Bios rom checksum error
Detecting IDE ATAPI device
Detecting Floppy drive A media
Drive A error. System halt
And it just sits there....

So, what is so upgradeable about the P35 if it isn't the memory?
Is the only difference in the P35 and the 650i the type of ram it would take? From DDR2 to a DDR3?

Okay, that was another confusing issue. You say get "I recommend Corsair XMS2 CL4."
This is the list of all the Corsair XMS2 I found on newegg and none of them say "CL4"
