you could but it would void the warranty if you mess it up. The mfgr overclock is proven to be stable.

not sure of the costs, but ive heard the new 8800gts (g92) is a stepup form the gt, may be a small step but it is up.
i wouldnt think it would be a problem, but if you are real worried, you can clean it off with alcohol and reapply thermal paste.
depends on what you paid for the card, if there is a big difference between the 8800gts 640 and what ever you would get to replace it, i would send it back to where you bought it and get a refund and...
You could plug it into any of the sockets, I dont think it matters with sata

i may have not understood what he meant. Ive seen power supplies with an on/off switch on them, but that doesnt turn on the computer. You have to use the on/off button on the computer, but the power...

you would turn both switches on, turn on the psu power then the front power, its not an either/or deal.
alot of times you wont use the higher res because it makes items on the desktop smaller, unless you have good eyes :)
No...the cooler goes directly on top of the cpu, just put the plastic cover in the cpu box it came in incase you need it one day. Did you try moving the ram around in the slots? or just using one...

on rfactor people make mods that go into it for free, and there are stockcar mods(nascar), indycar, champcar, formula1, aussie v8...
I play racing games, and I have no problems....but if you use an 8800 series card there is a problem with overscan. I dont have any trails or ghosting. I havent tried any first person/shooter games...
i use dvi to hdmi cable withthe hdmi going into the tv

I didnt know there were two kinds of GT cards
It wont be plug and play so to speak, you would have to make sure your ram and all fits the new motherboard you would use and you would have to be able to reinstall your OS.
So the GTX is better than the new GTS (G92)... i can get a GTX for 325 and GTS (G92) for 300
